AUTONOMOUS REGIONS IN SPAIN

Fifty provinces of Spain are grouped into seventeen autonomous communities. In addition to the seventeen communities there are two African Autonomous cities. They are called Ceuta and Melilla.

LIST OF SPAIN AUTONOMOUS REGIONS: Andalusia, Aragon, Principality of Asturias, Balearic Islands, Basque Country, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castile-La Mancha, Castile and Leon, Catalonia, Extremadura, Galicia, La Rioja, Madrid, Region of Murcia, Foral Community of Navarre, Land of Valencia.

Respective capitals of Spain autonomous regions mentioned above are Seville, Zaragoza, Oviedo, Palma de Mallorca, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Santander, Toledo, Valladolid, Barcelona, Merida, Santiago de Compostela, Logrono, Madrid, Murcia, Pamplona and Valencia.
